What OPSY is, and who runs it.
OPSY stands for Open Psychedelic Science. It is a research platform: a public research chat and literature library, and underneath them the software that consented studies run on: on-device interviews, versioned consent, hash-chained records, and an opt-in data repository.
OPSY is a PsyDAO initiative. The code and methods are public. Participant data stays on EU infrastructure we control, and wherever possible the interview itself runs on the participant's own device.
Where the logo comes from
Venus and Earth orbit the sun in a 13 to 8 resonance: thirteen Venus years fit almost exactly into eight Earth years. If you plot the position of Venus relative to Earth across those eight years, the path traces a five-petaled figure that astronomers have drawn for centuries.
Our logo comes from that figure. The drawing below is not an image file: your browser is computing the orbital positions and plotting them now.
